Prenatal Check Up at 19 weeks.
Today is my 3rd Prenatal Check up at exactly 19 weeks pregnant. I more excited now especially to listen to our baby's heartbeat. Last time my OB was able to hear it but so soft and not that clear yet. But now its more sounds and baby's heartbeat is clear as a normal heartbeat. Although we all know that baby's heartbeat is really fast than us but It makes me so complete just hearing my baby's heart beat.
Time to change my vitamins. Anmum milk are not included in my diet anymore but it exchange of a new vitamins called Calvit 2x aday. Calcium with Vitamin D. I'm still consuming my OBIMIN before i proceed to my new vitamins like Tri-Hemic.
My ob already scheduled me a week before I will go back to her to have a GCT (Glucose test), CAS (congenital Anomaly Scan) and Vaccine for anti tetanus for my next visit. Ouch!! Financial expenses are now starting to get high. haha!
What I was more nervous about was my Glucose test, althought CAS is also a bit nervous but from my last scan, the OB Sonologist already had a chance to check my baby some part of the body, face and head so so far I'm quite relieve already but of course still need to undergo this scan soon.
My OB suggest to eat again brown rice to help the glucose test to be normal. But like what other people would say, Brown Rice is indeed healthy but the problem is even how much delicious is your meal or food but with brown rice we will never taste like it. I think its a matter of sacrifice. haha!
My next visit will be March 24, 2012 a week before that around March 12-17, 2012 I need to have this scan and test result. Aww.... I know God is always there for both of us.
Thank you God for everything.....

SSS Maternity Benefits
- What is the maternity benefit?
- The maternity benefit is a daily cash allowance granted to a female member who was unable to work due to childbirth or miscarriage.
- What are the qualifications for entitlement to the maternity benefit?
- She has paid at least three monthly contributions within the 12-month period immediately preceding the semester of her childbirth or miscarriage.
- She has given the required notification of her pregnancy through her employer if employed, or to the SSS if separated, voluntary or self-employed member.
- Is the voluntary or self-employed member also entitled to the maternity benefit?
- Yes, A voluntary or a self-employed member is entitled to the maternity benefit provided that she meets the qualifying conditions.
- How much is the maternity benefit?
- The maternity benefit is equivalent to 100 per cent of the member’s average daily salary credit multiplied by 60 days for normal delivery or miscarriage, 78 days for caesarean section delivery.
- How is the maternity benefit computed?
- Exclude the semester of contingency (delivery or miscarriage).
A semester refers to two consecutive quarters ending in the quarter of contingency.
A quarter refers to three consecutive months ending March, June, September or December. - Count 12 months backwards starting from the month immediately before the semester of contingency.
- Identify the six highest monthly salary credits within the 12-month period.
Monthly salary credit means the compensation base for contributions benefits related to the total earnings for the month. Please refer to the table below.
Range of
CompensationMonthly
Salary Credit1,000 - 1,249.99 1,000 1,250 - 1,749.99 1,500 1,750 - 2,249.99 2,000 2,250 - 2,749.99 2,500 2,750 - 3,249.99 3,000 3,250 - 3,749.99 3,500 3,750 - 4,249.99 4,000 4,250 - 4,749.99 4,500 4,750 - 5,249.99 5,000 5,250 - 5,749.99 5,500 5,750 - 6,249.99 6,000 6,250 - 6,749.99 6,500 6,750 - 7,249.99 7,000 7,250 - 7,749.99 7,500 7,750 - 8,249.99 8,000 8,250 - 8,749.99 8,500 8,750 - 9,249.99 9,000 9,250 - 9,749.99 9,500 9,750 - 10,249.99 10,000 10,250 - 10,749.99 10,500 10,750 - 11,249.99 11,000 11,250 - 11,749.99 11,500 11,750 - 12,249.99 12,000 12,250 - 12,749.99 12,500 12,750 - 13,249.99 13,000 13,250 - 13,749.99 13,500 13,750 - 14,249.99 14,000 14,250 - 14,749.99 14,500 14,750 - O V E R 15,000 - Add the six highest monthly salary credits to get the total monthly salary credit.
- Divide the total monthly salary credit by 180 days to get the average daily salary credit. This is equivalent to the daily maternity allowance.
- Multiply the daily maternity allowance by 60 (for normal delivery or miscarriage) or 78 days (for caesarean section delivery) to get the total amount of maternity benefit.
For example, let us say that an SSS member gives birth in December 2004.- The semester of contingency would be from July 2004 to December 2004
- The 12-month period before the semester of contingency would be from July 2003 to June 2004
- Let us assume that the six highest monthly salary credits are P15,000 each. Thus, the total monthly salary credit would be P90,000 (P15, 000 x 6).
- The daily maternity allowance would be P500 (P90,000/180).
- The total maternity benefit due would be P30, 000 (P500 x 60 days) for normal delivery or P39,000 (P500 x 78) for caesarian cases.

Here's How to Compute:
1. In my case: I'm due on July 2012. I need to know my 3rd month of pregnancy which is January 2012, Then you have to go 12months backward from this Month, in my case it will be
January 2011 - January 2012
2.Some SSS member pay there contribution in different range of compensation. if you do that you have to determine the only 6 highest monthly Salary within that 12 months
For example:
January 2011 - My Contribution is Php624.00
February 2011 - Php572.00
March 2011 - Php572.00
April 2011 - Php624.00
May 2011 - Php624.00
June 2011 - Php624.00
July 2011 - Php624.00
August 2011 - Php572.00
September 2011 -Php624.00
October 2011 - Php624.00
November 2011 -Php624.00
December 2011 -Php624.00
January 2012 - Php624.00
**If you will pick up the 6 months highest contribution with these 12 months period it will be Php624.00 Contribution. If you will look at "The SSS Contribution Table" you can check your monthly monthly salary credit and Range of compensation.
In this case:
Total Contribution = Php 624.00
Month Salary Credit = Php6,000.00
Range of Compensation = Php5,750 - Php6,249.99
*You have to add the (6) Six monthly salary credit to get the total monthly salary credit:
=6,000 x 6 (six months) = Php 36,000
*Then, divide the result to 180 days to get the average of daily salary credit:
=36,000 / 180 days = Php 200.00 your daily maternity allowance
*Then for Normal Delivery or Miscarriage multiply to 60 days to get your total SSS maternity benefits.
=200.00 x 60 days = Php 12,000
*If its Caesarean Section Delivery multiply to 78 days to get your total SSS Maternity benefits.
=200 x 78 days = Php 15,600.00

Video: Inside Pregnancy in different Weeks
Top Health Medical Clinic
I already search and search some good 3D/4D scan for my up coming 5-6months pregnancy. Some are giving good packages but kindly expensive I want to have like prices are reasonable but somehow worth it.
I already check and asked different clinics who conduct 3D/4D ultrasounds like "In My Womb", "Face to Face", "The Baby Ultrasound Company". Although Face to face and The baby ultrasound company are giving almost the same packages but I notice in "In My Womb" its kinda more expensive and the packages are not worth it for the prices.
But while searching I read some topics about 3D/4D ultrasound.A few suggestion came in to "Top Health Medical Clinic", cheaper and packages are good as well. Cheaper than Face to Face and The Baby Ultrasound Company but still packages are good. Pictures are not limited, they will give print outs but as well as cd's containing numbers of pictures of your baby.
But of course this is just my suggestions, you can still choose whats the best for you!!! Enjoy Mommies!!
16 weeks and 6 days -Transabdominal
What a wonderful feeling?! At 16 weeks and 6 days , almost 17 weeks. We finally saw our baby moving and kicking inside my tummy. Trying to check baby's gender is quite hard at this point but although the Ob-sonology said that most of the time as early as 14 weeks if your baby is a boy it can be seen right away showing his tiny eggs and little stick in between his legs. But in my case the ob shown us the legs and we can't see anything in between baby's legs. So?? question? our baby is a girl? haha! We all somehow conclude that probably 90% she is a girl. Although a lot of people around us keep on saying that they think our baby would be a girl because of my aura. And I don't know in my instinct I somehow felt that We're going to have a girl as well. Although my hubby wants a girl and my family wants a boy because I already have 4 nieces at home, and kids want to have us a boy. But like we always says. Whatever God chose us to give either girl or a boy most importantly our baby is so healthy and Strong.
When the ob shows the spinal bones of my baby, the head and even the face showing that everything are perfectly fine. I felt so happy and relieved. No words to tell but just "Thank You Oh God, Thank You Very Much!!"
"Till out us meeting baby. I will see you after 4 weeks. Be safe and Pray! We love you!!
